Message	person, and all looks good, then that is a fair price to me. The valve cover leak..you can fix no biggy, but make sure that is what is actually leaking, and he isn't yanking your chain. As long as it is just that leaking, then you can fix it easily and clean up the engine bay and get to know the car better during that time as well.
